March 19, 1956 The Agony of Defeat, a Sports Story

A few short days ago, I could enjoy a nice cold brew in my favorite sports bar. As long as I didn’t mind. There were no sports. Every set in the place was running Music videos.

Now we can’t even do that as we stand on the sidewalk, looking in. Every restaurant & watering hole in the place, is shut down. So, here we are. At home, hiding from the Wu Flu, without even the distraction of a good game. The lights have gone out on every event from the Pros to March Madness to the Kentucky Derby while we who would escape the Great House Arrest of 2020, need a little diversion.
